Montanhas: Entre o Céu e a Terra | Mountains: Between Heaven and Earth

Na antiga cosmologia chinesa, montanhas são o espaço onde o Céu e a Terra se encontram. Para mim, montanhas são entidades. Elas tem orgulho, temperamento, personalidade. Nascem do fogo e envelhecem lentamente pelo vento, gelo e água. Mas durante suas vidas são testemunhas dos embates da vida sem nem ao menos pestanejarem. Minhas fotografias de montanhas objetivam capturar sua personalidade, seu domínio, seu diálogo com o Céu acima e a Terra abaixo.

In ancient Chinese cosmology, mountains are the space where Heaven and Earth meet. To me, mountains are entities. They have pride, temperament, personality. They are born of fire and wither away slowly by wind, water and ice, but in the meantime witness the struggle of life over millions of years without a shrug. My photographs of mountains aim at capturing their personality, their dominance, their dialogue with the heavens above and the earth below them.
